Pre 2000

The lights came on, for me, when I discovered that I could talk about my life, my thoughts and feelings, in my art.

I was innocent of the demands of the academic art world, and only slightly aware of the new wave of feminism. But I was happily amazed to find a new way of communicating. That people laughed, cried, bought and still remember work from this time is simply fantastic.
